YB-MP1000 Magnetron Power Supply User Manual


1. Warning and safety

    Over 8kV voltage will be generated when YB-MP1000 operates. It’s very dangerous to contact it directly or indirectly. All the connection, installation and operation of YB-MP1000 should be conducted by professional specialists following this instruction. Be aware that the power supply should be handled with the same as 8kV power line!

   Note:

   (1) All the installation and connection operation of YB-MP1000 should be conducted only under power off condition. No directly or indirectly contaction when operating!

   (2) Open or destroy of the case, accessory lines, terminals or others is forbidden.

   (3) Users is not permitted to extend the output high voltage line!

2.  Electrical connection

    (1) Input: 220VAC, the Live, Null, and Grounding lines should be connected correctly according to Fig.1, or the power may be damaged.

Input Voltage (Vi) =185-265VAC/50-60Hz, Input Current (Ii)=0-6.3A.

    (2) Ouput: the output wires should be connected to the cathode of magnetron.

    Cathode voltage (Vo): 0-4200VDC;   Anode current (Io): 0-310mA;

    Output power: 0-1300W;          

    Filament voltage (Vf): 3.3V;           Filament current (If): 6-10A.

    (3) Output grounding line (G) should be connected with the magnetron anode(metal case of the magnetron) to the high voltage output gound on the power supply.

    (4) Control signal (Vc): 0~5VDC, to control the on/off and adjust the output power.

    (5) Indicator: the indicator will light when the power supply operates.


3.  Starting-up:

    (1)   Make sure that the high voltage output of YB-MP1000 are correctly connected to the cathode of magnetron;

    (2)   Make sure that the high voltage ground of YB-MP1000 are correctly connected to the anode of magnetron;

    (3)   Make sure that the cooling fan operates normally;

    (4)   Then connect a 185-265Vac/50-60Hz power line to the input of YB-MP1000;

    (5)   Applying a controlling signal Vc=0~5V to the controlling interface of YB-MP1000; when Vc reaches 1.7V, the magnetron start to work. The microwave power increases with Vc, and reaches full power when Vc=5V.
